A woman was sentenced on Friday in a drunken crash that killed a man who was removing an item from the trunk of his car, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said.
Ashley Beams, 32, of Toms River, was sentenced to five years in state prison on a guilty plea of vehicular homicide. Her driver’s license was also suspended for one year on a DUI conviction, prosecutors said.
