A field of familiar faces, and a couple newcomers, expected to run for Jersey City Council in 2025

From incumbents to those trying again to political newcomers, the field for nine Jersey City City Council seats in the 2025 election will be crowded, according to city political insiders and early election campaign filings.

Tom Zuppa, Pamela Johnson, John Hallanan, Moriah Kinberg, Elvin Dominici and Kristen Zadroga-Hart are just some of the names already being bandied about as possibly running for one of six ward and three at-large seats on the council. And some of the current councilmembers, like Mira Prinz-Arey in Ward B and Denise Ridley in Ward A, are considering for at-large seats.
