A 58-year-old woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Route 1 in South Brunswick Monday evening, authorities said.
The woman was driving north on the highway near Independence Way when she veered off the road and struck a utility pole, South Brunswick police said. The force of the crash sent her car back onto Route 1, where it was hit by a minivan.
