Paul Simon and Sabrina Carpenter opened the 50th anniversary celebration of “Saturday Night Live” and Paul McCartney closed it down. The 83-year-old Simon, who has been a constant on the show since it began in 1975, was joined by the 25-year-old current pop sensation Carpenter on a duet of “Homeward Bound.”
