Former Orlando teacher sentenced to 14 years for attempted enticement of minor

A federal judge sentenced a former Orlando teacher to 14 years in prison for attempted enticement of a minor to engage in sexual activity.

Terrell Myron Foy, 33, of Winter Park, received his sentence after pleading guilty on April 24, 2025, according to a Thursday news release from the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida.

In December 2023, Foy, a middle school teacher at Orlando’s Blankner School at the time, developed a romantic relationship with a 13-year-old student, according to the release.

In January 2024, the Orlando Police Department received a “Speak Out” complaint regarding Foy’s communications with the student.

OPD and the FBI received warrants for Foy’s home, cellphone and social media accounts used by Foy and the victim.

They found hundreds of messages, the release stated.

Those messages included the former teacher enticing the victim to engage in sexual activity and arranging meetups with the student on and off school grounds.

Furthermore, he bought the victim gifts and instructed them not to speak with law enforcement, according to the release.

In addition to the sentence, the court ordered Foy to forfeit his cellphone that was involved in the conduct.
