Railroad Records opened Aug. 2 at 335 Vine St. in Bethlehem, where customers can buy and exchange merchandise like records, CDs, tapes, books, antiques and vintage clothes.
Zaks Bistro opened Aug. 5 at 645 Northampton St. in Easton. It serves wraps, bowls, sandwiches and pizza.
The Swift restaurant reopened Aug. 6 at The Wilbur Mansion at 201 Cherokee St. in Bethlehem. The menu includes steaks, pork chops, lamb, duck, escargot, beetroot carpaccio, salads, soups, beer, wine and cocktails.
Sorcery and Scripts opened Aug. 6 at 74 W. Board St., Suite 110, in Bethlehem. The store offers fantasy books, board games and events like book clubs.
Blue Moo Ice Cream Shop reopened Aug. 9 at 2693 Community Drive in Moore Township.
Sizzling Bites Halal Grill opened a new location Aug. 12 at the 25th Street Shopping Plaza at 2429 Nazareth Road in Palmer Township. It serves gyros, burgers, cheesesteaks, macaroni and cheese, chicken tenders, salads and fries.
Dollar Tree opened at the Valley Plaza Shopping Center in the 1800 block of Catasauqua Road in Hanover Township, Lehigh County.
Bethlehem Barrel & Drafthouse opened Aug. 13 at The Outlets at Wind Creek Bethlehem, where it serves alcoholic drinks, pierogies, onion gratin soup, burgers, smoked BLTs, churrasco, crab cakes, salads and ice cream.
The Whiff Shop perfume boutique opened on Aug. 15 at 119 Northampton St. in Easton.
A new Lost Tavern Brewing taproom opened Aug. 22 inside St. Luke’s SportsPlex at 4636 Crackersport Road in South Whitehall Township.
Bubbakoo’s Burritos opened Aug. 26 at 1892 Leithsville Road in Lower Saucon Township. It serves burritos, birria tacos, quesadillas, bowls, taco salads, chicken tenders, loaded fries and miniature churros.
El Jefe’s Taqueria reopens Aug. 30 at the Five 10 Flats at 506 E. Third St. in Bethlehem.
CLOSURES:
Burger on Broad closed Aug. 16 at the Nefarious Eats Commissary Kitchen at 500 W. Broad St. in Quakertown.
Two Rivers Brewing Co. closed for retail sales on Aug. 17 at 542 Northampton St. in Easton.
The last Sonic drive-in within the Lehigh Valley closed at 1753 Airport Road in Hanover Township, Lehigh County.
Southside 313 Bar & Grille closed Aug. 23 at 313 E. Third St. in Bethlehem.

The 7th Studio nail salon held a ribbon cutting July 11 at 27 N. Seventh Street, Suite 120, in Allentown.
The Vault Hair Co. hosted a grand opening July 13 at 29 S. Main St. in Bangor.
Bob’s Discount Furniture opened July 14 at 3764 Easton Nazareth Highway in Lower Nazareth Township.
The Lehigh Valley’s first Insomnia Cookies location opened July 15 on the ground floor of the Six 10 Flats apartment building at 610 E. Third St. in Bethlehem.
Ranch City Brewing opened July 17 at the Simon Silk Mill in Easton.
Manhattan Bagel opened July 18 at the Schoenersville Centre at 3221 Schoenersville Road in Bethlehem.
Tuff Shed held a ribbon cutting July 18 for its new sales and design center at 2337 MacArthur Road in Whitehall Township.
Playa Bowls held a grand opening for a new location July 19 at 676 N. West End Blvd. in Richland Township, it announced online.
The caterer Clam Jam Boil & BBQ opened July 19 as the new 3 Broke Blokes Grille at Lost Tavern Brewing’s Bethlehem taproom at 444 Main St., where it serves wings, Bavarian pretzels, chili, gumbo, sandwiches, sandwiches and shepherd’s pie.
The Luxe Events & Designs studio held a grand opening July 22 at Promenade Saucon Valley in Upper Saucon Township.
The women’s fashion retailer Dry Goods opened July 22 at the Lehigh Valley Mall.
Glazed Donut & Coffee Shop opened July 23 at 149 Northampton St. in Easton.
Nazareth Brew Co. began a grand opening weekend celebration July 25 at 35 E. Belvidere St. in Nazareth.
West Side Cafe & Grille opened July 26 at 1100 Bushkill St. in Easton. It serves breakfast and lunch with menu items like pancakes, waffles, French toast, quesadillas and cheesesteaks.
Mitz Bakery held a grand opening July 26 at 612B Main St. in Hellertown. The menu includes sourdough bread, coffee, lemonade, seasonal food including sandwiches and soups, and artisan breads such as cinnamon-raisin, pepperoni-mozzarella and chocolate.
The Costa Rican-Mexican restaurant Orizaba reopened July 30 at 614 W. Broad St. in Bethlehem.
CLOSURES:
The Gemeral Store closed its physical location July 5 after a fire at 707 N. New St. in Bethlehem.
The Something Different restaurant announced its closure July 11 at 605 Fiot St. in Fountain Hill.
Bed Head Vegan Brunch House announced it wouldn’t reopen July 21 after it announced its temporary closure in May at 310 E Goepp St. in Bethlehem.
