A crash in Voluntown between a motorcycle and a dirt bike sent two men to the hospital on Sunday, one with serious injuries, state police said.
The crash occurred Sunday in the area of 276 Preston City Road around 10:26 a.m., according to the Connecticut State Police.
State police said a Harley-Davidson was traveling southbound on Preston City Road when it approached a group of dirt bikes from behind, collided with an Acerbis 150 XC-W then struck an embankment on the northbound shoulder.
The Harley-Davidson operator, identified as a 58-year-old man from Sterling, was transported by Life Star to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries, according to police.
The other operator, identified as a 26-year-old man from Voluntown, was taken by local ambulance to Backus Hospital with what were believed to be minor injuries, police said.
