The Children’s Museum of Virginia has announced its annual Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters Teddy Bear Clinic from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 13 at 221 High St.
The fun and educational event encourages children to bring their favorite stuffed animals for a day of hands-on learning about health and wellness check-ups.
The first 500 children will receive a Children’s Museum of Virginia teddy bear.
Families can explore interactive stations, including:
Teddy check-ups: Learn the basics of health assessments like checking heartbeats, bandaging “injuries,” and more.
X-ray station: See pretend X-rays of stuffed animals and understand the importance of medical imaging.
Casting and surgery stations.
Coping with emotions station.
The clinic is free with regular museum admission.
