Allentown shooting seriously injures man; police say he and witnesses aren’t cooperating

Allentown police are investigating a weekend shooting that left a man seriously injured.

Police were called to the 500 block of North Jordan Street around 9:45 p.m. Saturday for a report of gunshots. While they were at the scene, a man who was shot walked into a nearby hospital, police said in a news release Monday.

The man was seriously wounded, but is expected to survive, police said.

Neither the man who was shot nor witnesses to the shooting were cooperating with police as of Monday afternoon, according to Capt. Kyle Pammer.

Anyone with information is asked to call city detectives at 610-437-7721 or the Police Desk at 610-437-7753, Ext. 1.
