A bicyclist died Tuesday after he was hit by a vehicle in Northampton County.
Robert Marley, 65, of North Wales in Montgomery County, was hit by a vehicle while biking about 10 a.m. along Steely Hill Road in Williams Township, according to a state police news release.
He was hit by a sedan driven by a 84-year-old Kintnersville man, the release states.
Marley was biking north and trying to turn left onto County Line Road while the sedan was traveling west trying to turn onto Steely Hill Road. Marley was in the northbound lane when he turned and the driver of the sedan tried to avoid him by swerving onto the shoulder.
Police said the driver wasn’t able to avoid hitting Marley, who was knocked off the bike and onto the vehicle before falling into the road. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
