Four people injured in serious CT crash after one car crossed center median

Four people were injured following a serious crash on Interstate 691 in Southington on Saturday night, according to Connecticut State Police.

Connecticut State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in the area of Exit 5 just after 9:30 p.m. on Saturday. Police said a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling westbound as an Acura TI was traveling in the same area going eastbound.

According to Connecticut State Police, the Acura veered across all of the eastbound travel lanes, went into the center grass median and then into the westbound lanes. While within the westbound travel lanes, the two vehicles crashed.

The Acura driver was transported to Saint Mary’s Hospital for serious injuries and the three other people involved in the crash were also transported to the hospital but for minor injuries, according to Connecticut State Police. Two passengers in the Silverado were transported to St. Mary’s with possible injuries.
