A stretch of state road has made a list by Travelhost for the most underrated fall foliage locations in New England.
According to the site, State Route 169 in the “Quiet Corner” of the state includes “picturesque small towns and farms.” The drive includes the Quinebag and Shetucket Rivers Valley National Corridor.
“Along the drive, you’ll also pass scenic woodlands, rolling hills and colonial structures that will leave you feeling both in awe and at peace,” according to Travelhost.
Other places that made the list were Pawtuckaway State Park and Milan Hill State Park in New Hampshire, Moodalamoo National Recreation Area in Vermont and the Town of Bethel in Maine.
