A bomb threat made Monday at Trexler Middle School — the second made in several days — was determined to be a hoax, according to authorities.
Allentown police said officers were called to the school about 8:30 a.m. for a report of a bomb threat. Officers, school district security and city firefighters searched the school and found no explosive devices or suspicious packages throughout, the department said in a news release.
Investigators determined there was no threat, and they determined a student made the report. He was taken into custody and charged with making terroristic threats.
A district spokesperson said students resumed classes about 9:45 a.m.
A student last week also made a bomb threat against the school. That student was identified and charged with the same offense.
