I’m ticked that the ticked off writers keep referring to “Florida drivers.” There’s no such thing. Everyone behind the wheel is from some other state where they learned to drive.
Can we ever have a season where the Miami Dolphins are actually good? Who put this wicked losing curse on this team? And who can help remove it?
I have asked store staff why they do not call officials when they are advised or notice apparently illegal parking in handicapped spaces. They say that corporate forbids it. I have confronted drivers without display of disabled placard or tag, and mostly they get angry that I would dare challenge them. Typically, they yell at me that they don’t need a special marker anyway (lies), or that they didn’t see the signs and are going to just dash in and out. The state really needs to police the lots, especially now that I have gotten my own Disabled Veteran tag.
Speaking of Peyton Manning and his incessant “Omaha.” I couldn’t watch any game he was in. Before EVERY play he said it. And now he does it in Bud Light commercials. Perfect fit.
I am so tired of going into public buildings where toxic cleaning products are used. Post offices are some of the worst. If you can smell the product long after the cleaning, the cleaning people are harming themselves and others. Same goes for plug-ins that cause lung problems and “allergies.”
I am really ticked off at Israel.
I am ticked off that some gadfly claims that there’s a war on Christmas in Winter Park. Winter Park has a long tradition of celebrating the “holidays” along Park Avenue and the city center. No one is trying to take “Christmas” out of the festivities. Take a trip to your local Target or Walmart and you’ll find it hard not to trip over Christmas decorations. Winter Park city hall should tell this busybody that Santa is watching for naughty and nice.
The flip side
Cheers to the stalwart school crossing guards who brave brutal weather and unruly Central Florida speeders to keep kids and others safe.
I wanted to thank Mary at the Orlando Orthopaedic Center in Casselberry for researching an issue with my health insurance company. She was helpful, professional, and kept me in the loop with updated phone calls.
