Comedian Whitney Cummings will be telling jokes in Norfolk this week.

The stand-up comic, television personality and prolific podcaster will perform Saturday at The NorVa.

She has released six stand-up specials, including “Whitney Cummings: I’m Your Girlfriend” for HBO in 2016 and “Whitney Cummings: Can I Touch It?” and “Whitney Cummings: Jokes,” released on Netflix in 2019 and 2022.

She created and starred in her own NBC series, “Whitney,” and co-created and co-wrote the popular CBS series “2 Broke Girls.” Her podcast, “Good For You,” which launched in 2019, proved to be a hit.

In short, Cummings is one of the biggest names in contemporary comedy.
