Country crooner Chris Stapleton to play two nights at Mohegan Sun Arena in 2026

Country/rock/pop crossover star Chris Stapleton, who has not played Connecticut in seven years, will do two nights at Mohegan Sun Arena on Feb. 27 and Feb. 28, 2026, it was announced Thursday.

The shows are part of an extension of Stapleton’s ongoing “All-American Road Show” tour and will feature his full band.

The last time the soulful vocalist and accomplished Southern blues rocker played Connecticut was for the Farm Aid charity concert at Hartford’s Xfinity Theater in 2018. He had played a show at the same venue a year earlier. The only previous time Stapleton played Mohegan Sun was a free show there in 2014.

“All-American Road Show” is what Stapleton has called all his live tours since he began touring as a headlining act in 2017. His solo success began in 2015 with his album “Traveller,” which became the best-selling country album of the 2010s.

His hits include “Broken Halos,” “What Are You Listening To?,” “You Should Probably Leave” and “White Horse” among many others. The writer/performer of “Tennessee Whiskey” now bottles his own Traveller Whiskey.

Stapleton expanded his audience considerably when he was a musical guest on “Saturday Night Live” in 2018. Already established a songwriter for other acts, between 2018 and 2023 Stapleton collaborated with Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, John Mayer, Bruno Mars, Post Malone, Ed Sheeran, P!nk, Rage Against the Machine and others.

Tickets for Stapleton’s February dates at Mohegan Sun go on sale on Sept. 26 through Ticketmaster and Sept. 27 through the Mohegan Sun box office. Pre-order and other deals start on Sept. 24. Ticket prices have not yet been divulged. More information is also available through the promoter Live Nation at livenation.com.
