Colonial-Schuylkill League football season stat leaders entering Week 7

Tamaqua’s Terrell McDowell is listed at 5-foot-9, 155 pounds. He had no varsity experience before this year. The Blue Raiders suffered significant graduation losses on both sides of the ball. Yet, the sophomore is five yards shy of 1,000 rushing yards through six games in 2025. He also leads all area runners with 168 carries, proving his durability.

Northwestern Lehigh’s Chase Sukanick moved up three spots to No. 6 on the rushing yardage leaders’ list. Catasauqua’s Tray Dunn jumped up seven spots to No. 11.

Palisades’ Jack Trickel, Jim Thorpe’s Cole Lazorick and Saucon Valley’s Braden Rohn all reached 1,000 passing yards in Week 6. It is the third time for Lazorick, who also passed 5,000 yards for his career. Rohn moved up three spots to No. 4 among the leaders.

Southern Lehigh’s Colton Sams (978), Northwestern Lehigh’s Shane Leh (973) and Pen Argyl’s Mason Soos (900) should reach the 1,000-yard mark this weekend. Sams threw four touchdown passes in last Friday’s win over Jim Thorpe. That gives him 10 for the year, tied with Leh for third behind Notre Dame-Green Pond’s Matt Bodnar (18) and Trickel (11).

Palisades’ Lincoln Cook continues to lead all area receivers in catches (41), receiving yards (574) and TDs (6). Saucon Valley’s Thomas Cahill jumped up to No. 2 after hauling in 13 passes for 242 yards and two TDs in a Week 6 win over Catasauqua.

Northwestern Lehigh’s Michael Lagowy moved up four spots to No. 7 with 22 catches.

Southern Lehigh’s Sean Steckert continues to lead District 11 in rushing yards (1,299) and is first among area players with 108 points on 18 rushing touchdowns.

Defensively, Pen Argyl’s Rocco DeCesare (57) moved up three spots in tackles. Northwestern Lehigh’s Shane Hulmes (56) jumped up five spots. Teammate Braxton Lakatosh (50) climbed eight spots.

Notre Dame-GP’s Garrett Grants took over the top spot in tackles for loss with 13 after getting three against Northern Lehigh. Palmerton senior and Rutgers commit Logan Anthony is second with 12.

Grants remains first with five sacks, followed by Northwestern Lehigh’s Fritz Scheirer and Tamaqua’s Carter Troutman with four each. Troutman registered three against Bangor.

Lagowy, Marian Catholic’s Rory Dixon and Palmerton’s Alex Keiper all moved into a tie for first with Northern Lehigh’s Chris Frame with four interceptions.
