VIRGINIA BEACH — A 58-year-old man has died days after his vehicle crashed in the Princess Anne area of the city.
Police said the man, Samuel Sandler of Kill Devil Hills in North Carolina, was driving eastbound on Indian River Road around 4 a.m. Saturday when his vehicle drifted off the road, striking a culvert. Police said the crash only involved one vehicle.
He was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition where he died from his injuries on Monday, according to the Virginia Beach Police Department.
Police said the crash remained under investigation. A cause for the crash beyond the aforementioned details has not been released.
