Are you kidding me, Publix? You’re going to allow open carry of guns in your stores? Will you be checking that everyone is a responsible, licensed gun owner? Seeing a gun in public used to make us run for cover and now they’ll be in my frozen-food aisle! Nobody asked for this, you caved to the political winds and disrespected your longtime customers who just want to get groceries for dinner. I hope Winn-Dixie makes a good sub.
To the people who are concerned about the new Publix policy of allowing open carry in their stores, try to remember that getting a concealed carry license in Florida has been super easy for many years. A lot of people have done just that. Many of them have been carrying in Publix for a long time without the disasters that you’re worried about. I’m not a fan of open carry, but that doesn’t mean that I’m not armed when I walk into Publix.
Ball caps are not a good look at the theater! Live theater does not require a dress code, but it is an insult to the performers on stage and the patrons sitting behind you to wear your ball cap during the play.
I found a soiled diaper in the aisle of Target by the shampoo! Is this a joke, or do you have no regard for people’s health and safety? Carelessness! There are restrooms in the store!
The flip side
I am excited to see the beautiful native plants added around Deltona Regional Library by volunteers from the Lyonia Environmental Center.
Kudos to Orlando Health’s Thursday night health spots on WKMG. They are always very informative with a host who asks meaningful questions that help the general public understand the topic being discussed.
