Hurricanes land commitment from four-star receiver Milan Parris

The Miami Hurricanes picked up a commitment from a blue-chip wide receiver on Tuesday night.

Milan Parris, a standout 2026 receiver from Ohio, committed to UM, announcing his decision on social media. He chose the Hurricanes over offers from Auburn, Oregon and Oklahoma, among others.

Parris is a former Iowa State commit but backed off that decision earlier this month. He took a visit to Miami last weekend.

The standout receiver is listed as the No. 37 wide receiver and No. 221 player in the class, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.

Parris has moved up in the recruiting rankings over the course of the year, picking up offers from UM and other schools.

Last season, Parris had 28 catches for 597 yards and nine touchdowns. This season, he has 38 catches and 1,046 total yards with 12 touchdowns. He brings height and speed to Miami’s recruiting class. Parris is listed at 6 foot 5.5 and was timed with a 4.5 second 40-yard dash time, according to a UM source. In addition to his size and speed, the Hurricanes like his character and competitiveness, the source said.

Miami now has four wide receivers in its 2026 class. In addition to Parris, the Hurricanes have four-star prospects Vance Spafford and Somourian Wingo as well as three-star prospect Tyran Evans.
