Ticked Off! @landline calls

Yesterday, I had 13 phone calls on my landline. I never answer ones with unrecognized numbers. I got 13 nearly identical messages: “Hello. (pause) Are you there?” I think it’s time to give up the landline, and with it the number I’ve had for 25 years that all my old friends have. I feel like I’m paying to be harassed.
I’m ticked that the Orange County elections office will mail a postcard telling me to go online to see a sample ballot. It shows a lack of respect for citizens.
I shop at Publix. I go to three different Publix stores depending on what I need and the time of day. Two are in Winter Park and the third in Maitland. I have never seen anyone openly carrying a gun in any of the three stores. You people are making a lot to do about nothing.
I’m ticked off at door-to-door solicitors who ignore property restrictions, trespassing laws and even additional signs. Some of us work overnights and sleep during the day. Also, some of us are disabled, and it is difficult for us to answer the door.
I am ticked off when people cherry-pick statistics. Violent crime has gone down across the United States from 2019-24. But all states do not have open carry. Maine, New Hampshire and Connecticut have low violent crime rates and no open carry. Explain that.

The flip side

Thank you to One Florida Bank in Oviedo for helping me with a scam issue. Tim and his team are great!
