CT man accused of attacking police officer following disturbance at Target

A man faces charges for allegedly attacking a police officer in Ansonia earlier this month.

George Suazo, 21, of Seymour was arrested last Saturday on charges of assault on a police officer and second-degree breach of peace, according to Lt. Patrick Lynch of the Ansonia Police Department.

The charges stem from an incident on Oct. 3 in the parking lot of a Target store, Lynch said. Police responded to the area on the report of a disturbance allegedly involving Suazo, according to Lynch.

During the incident, Suazo allegedly attacked one of the officers, injuring them, Lynch said.

Suazo is free on a $25,000 bond and scheduled to appear in Derby Superior Court on Nov. 7.
