I am ticked off that I have been to a dozen stores and no one has any decorations for Thanksgiving. The only decorations for sale are Christmas ones. Why are Christmas decorations out so early? Why can’t we celebrate the holidays that come before Christmas?
The “sell by” stickers on grocery products are stupid. We need an “eat by” sticker. Some products go bad in three days and some last a month or more. I don’t care when they sell it, I care how long it will be edible. Ticks me off.
Totally agree with the comment about Allstate ads. Incredible that a company does a marketing campaign showing ads about chaos and accidents. It is difficult to believe that this is a positive campaign to attract more business. For sure, their advertising agency truly believes in this type of message. But for the general public and clients, it is difficult to understand this campaign.
Why have we not seen the annual Publix Thanksgiving commercials this year? They always had such family oriented commercials for the Thanksgiving holidays and this year none? So very sad.

The flip side

I was out of gas and turned into a RaceTrac gas station in DeLand. I had a broken ankle still healing and was having difficulty getting out of my SUV to fill it. Just at that time, a gentleman driving a black Ram pickup pulled up next to me. I asked him for his help. He went out of his way to fill my tank. I paid him for a full tank and when he went to pay, he returned with a large bottle of water for me, on his dime! What a sweetheart! It renews my faith in people. Thank you again, sir!
