Landstown improved to 6-0 with wins over then-No. 10 Princess Anne, Salem and Gillion Academy, an elite basketball program in Springfield, which has produced more than 200 Division I basketball players.
Denbigh (3-0) moved up four spots to No. 2 with victories over then-No. 2 Hampton and Cardoza, which was ranked in the Top 10 in the District of Columbia by Max Preps.
Lake Taylor continues its climb. The Titans stayed unbeaten with wins over Norcom and Booker T. Washington.
And Norview had a good week as the Pilots improved to 4-1 led by Keon Mitchell, who leads Hampton Roads in scoring with 33 points. He’s also averaging 8.8 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 2.8 steals.
