Old Dominion linebacker Jahleel Culbreath, a former Ocean Lakes High star, has announced on social media that he will be entering the transfer portal.
Culbreath (6-4, 222) finished fourth on the team in tackles with 71, including nine for losses this season. He also had three sacks and three quarterback hurries.
Several other Monarchs players are reportedly headed to the transfer portal. The team’s top three wide receivers — Tre’ Brown, Ja’Cory Thomas and Na’eem Abdul-Rahim Gladding — are among them, according to On3.com.
Brown, a sophomore from Savannah, Georgia, caught 38 passes for a team-high 762 yards along with four touchdowns this season.
Thomas, a junior from Walker, Louisiana, had 41 catches for 719 yards and five touchdowns.
Abdul-Rahim Gladding, a sophomore from Brooklyn, New York, caught a team-high 51 passes for 667 yards and a team-best six touchdowns.
Other ODU players reportedly entering the portal include safety Jerome Carter III and offensive lineman Maarten Woudsma.
Carter was third on the team in tackles with 75 and led the team with six interceptions.
Two VT players, one UVA player invited to all-star game
Virginia Tech offensive lineman Tomas Rimac and defensive tackle Kody Huisman and UVA defensive lineman Jahmeer Carter have been invited to the American Bowl All Star Game on Jan. 22 in Lakeland, Florida.
The game will be televised by NFL Network at 8 p.m.
Also receiving invitations were James Madison wide receiver Nick DeGennaro, Liberty safety Brylan Green, Navy defensive lineman Landon Robinson and East Carolina wide receiver Anthony Smith.

Grassfield has cracked the SI.com Top 40 national high school wrestling rankings at No. 37.
The Grizzlies finished ninth at the prestigious Beast of the East tournament last weekend in Newark, Delaware.
