Girls Basketball

Bishop Moore 57, Bayside 45

Buzz: Thanks to some stubborn early defense, Bishop Moore jumped out to a 17-2 lead and then held off Bayside. Playing without leading scorer Jaiden Peterson, Bishop Moore (14-3) limited Bayside to 3-of-12 shooting to start the game, and Alex Wolsonovich and Kaitlyn McBride had the hot hands scoring 7 and 6 points apiece in the first quarter. Bayside fought back to get within 25-18 at the half, but Bishop Moore then built the lead to as much as 17 points in the second half. The Hornets were led by Wolsonovich’s 15 points while McBride and point guard Alysa Smith each scored 12.

Buzz: Mateo Medina had 25 points for the Knights (9-3) in the thrilling win while Baker Costar had 20 points, and Duke Carpenter added 17 points and 14 rebounds.

Buzz: Kristen Small had all 3 goals for the hat trick for International (3-5-3).
