Miami Dolphins linebacker Jordyn Brooks may not have gotten the Pro Bowl recognition weeks before season’s end, but he received the more prestigious honor.
Brooks was named to the Associated Press All-Pro first team on Saturday, making him one of two linebackers recognized atop the entire NFL.
Brooks, who led the league with 183 tackles in 2025, was joined by Detroit Lions linebacker Jack Campbell on the first team. When the AFC Pro Bowl rosters were announced ahead of the end of the regular season, Brooks was behind the Baltimore Ravens’ Roquan Smith and Houston Texans’ Azeez Al-Shaair.
The All-Pro credit for Brooks is the first for Miami since wide receiver Tyreek Hill in 2023. Brooks is the first Dolphins defensive player to earn the accolade since cornerback Xavien Howard in 2020 and the first inside linebacker to do so since Hall of Famer Zach Thomas did it in 2006.
Aside from the league lead in tackles, Brooks recorded 3 1/2 sacks, 13 tackles for loss, three passes defensed, one forced fumble and a fumble recovery in 17 games in 2025. He was the only player in the NFL to post 150-plus tackles, 10-plus tackles for loss and at least three sacks.
He was also one of only two players to record eight games of 11-plus tackles and the only one to post two games of 18 stops or more. Brooks’ 183 tackles in 2025 are the fourth-most stops in franchise history.
The Dolphins’ lone Pro Bowl player on the initial selection was running back De’Von Achane. Brooks can still get added to the Pro Bowl roster as an alternate.
Another of Miami’s Pro Bowl snubs, center Aaron Brewer, earned second-team All-Pro honors Saturday, behind the Kansas City Chiefs’ Creed Humphrey on first team.
