#1 Landstown 61, Ocean Lakes 23

Damien Robinson recorded 16 points and five steals in the first half to lead the Eagles. Chase Johnson added 13 points and four rebounds. Shad Shaw logged 10 points, four rebounds and three assists. Josiah Law, Maurice Manigoe and Earnest Williams combined for 17 points.

#3 Hampton 64, Bethel 47

Kamrin Jenrette and Joshua Rice scored 14 and 13 respective points for the Crabbers, and Gavin Kay added 10 points. Mason Faulkner, Tre Williams and Malakai Parker were all double-figure scorers for the Bruins with 16, 10 and 10 points, respectively.

#5 Denbigh 62, Handley 39

Victor George led with 14 points and eight rebounds for the Patriots against the Judges from Winchester. Kevin Parker and Jamaal Jones each scored 11 points, with Parker also tallying six rebounds.

#6 Green Run 86, First Colonial 51

Coach Kenneth Harris earned his 300th career victory as the Stallions defeated the Patriots. Zaevion Cleveland scored 15 points, while Elijah Ellison and Dayjhon Boral-Williams each added 12.

#8 Oscar Smith 68, Grassfield 45

Cason Fitch recorded 17 points and six rebounds for the Tigers. Kelley King logged 13 points and five rebounds, while Steve Walton scored 12 points.

#11 Catholic 65, #13 Norfolk Collegiate 59

The Crusaders improved to 12-3 by defeating the Oaks (8-4) in their Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools opener. Dean Williams led with 21 points, while Carter Bullock and Tabren Hawkins scored 17 and 14 points, respectively. Sam Naidyhorski represented Norfolk Collegiate with 15 points.

#12 Peninsula Catholic 69, Hampton Roads Academy 50

Jordan Carr led all scorers with 39 points and 14 rebounds for the Knights in their first TCIS game of the season. Anderson Allen contributed 11 points. Graham Hutchens and Mekhi Ward represented the Navigators with 17 and 15 respective points.

Bay Rivers District

Poquoson 39, Smithfield 36

The Islanders earned another win after their overtime victory against Bruton last Friday. Seth Green led with 12 points, while Ben Bamford and Eli Green provided nine and eight respective points. Eli Green made two free throws with five seconds left in the game.

Warhill 71, Gloucester 35

Shamar McCray scored 15 points for the Lions (10-2), and Cam Hassell added seven points and 10 assists.

Beach District

Kellam 60, Bayside 33

MJ Fitch led three double-figure-scoring Knights with 13 points and six rebounds. Trey Barnhart added 12 points and eight rebounds, while Cristian Pro totaled 10 points and six rebounds.

Kempsville 52, Tallwood 48

The Chiefs were led in a complete team win by Jaquees Mitchell with 18 points off of the bench. Shay Lewis and Christian Lynch each added nine points.

Salem 63, Cox 43

The SunDevils were led by Terrell Lewis with 16 points. Ean Tucker and Jason Patrick were also double-figure scorers with 12 and 10 respective points. Marc Watkins led all scorers with 21 points for the Falcons.

Peninsula District

Kecoughtan 63, Warwick 46

Tori Brownson and Caleb Davis led the Warriors with 17 and 10 points, respectively. Christian Kirby represented the Raiders with 13 points.

Southeastern District

Deep Creek 76, Lakeland 65

Jayce Bailey led a balanced attack with 20 points for the Hornets. Kobe Hull scored 14 points, and Ja’Zah Evans added 13 points. Devon Polk contributed 10 points and 12 rebounds. Antonio Harrell led all scorers with 23 points for the Cavaliers.

Private schools

Cape Henry Collegiate 62, Walsingham Academy 56

The Dolphins were led by Ethan Houston with 22 points, and Ty Major followed with 10 points. Hayden Nelson, Porter Duncan and Kaleb Graves all finished with eight points.

Greenbrier Christian Academy 75, Gateway Christian 27

Luke MacDermod and David Bradley both tallied 15 points and five rebounds for the Gators. Hayden Dunlow contributed 16 points, three rebounds and three assists.

Norfolk Academy 48, Steward 47

Sean Duffy hit the go-ahead free throw with 40 seconds left, securing a TCIS win for the Bulldogs. Thomas Newman, Danny Howerin and Isaac Zito scored 13, 12 and 10 respective points.

Norfolk Christian 59, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy 58

The Ambassadors earned a one-point victory with a buzzer-beater by Landon McNamara. He finished with 20 points, and Isiah Banks followed with 12 points and four steals. Ajian Skeete scored 11 points, and Connor Holmes added 15 rebounds. David Ortell led all scorers with 25 points for the Saints.

Maddie Leach earned a double-double for the Monarchs with 21 points, 10 steals and four assists. JaiDen Rhodes also scored 21 points while logging five assists and five steals. TaNya Henson totaled 10 points, seven rebounds and six steals.

#3 Catholic 97, Norfolk Collegiate 20

Lauryn Loritts and Caroline Cassidy each scored 17 points for the Crusaders. Riley Lynch, Justice Brown-Jones and Sydney Youngblood provided 16, 15 and 13 respective points.

#4 King’s Fork 65, Nansemond River 35

Kenzie Cooper led the Bulldogs with 15 points. Jazlyn Hubbard recorded a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds. Brittany Evans, Kennedi Young and Rylie Hite combined for 33 points.

#5 Norfolk Christian 73, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy 32

The Ambassadors were led by Tamia Dyson and Brianna Norman with 35 and 25 respective points. Aaliyah Brocks added seven points. Gracie Grant represented the Saints with 10 points.

#7 Salem 50, Cox 17

Imani Johnson finished with a game-high 14 points for the SunDevils, and backcourt teammate Briseis Estrada scored 10 points.

#8 Kellam 75, Bayside 22

Kate Spain earned a school record with 10 3-pointers for the Knights, going 10 for 13 and totaling a career-high 34 points. Her sister Mia Spain logged a double-double of 10 points and 10 assists, while Laurel Dick tallied eight points, eight rebounds and six assists.

#12 Grassfield 66, Oscar Smith 41

The Grizzlies had three double-figure scorers: Lauren Priester and Khadijah Rashid each tallied 20 points, and Avia Scruggs added 17 points.

#13 Warwick 70, Kecoughtan 53

Three players earned double-doubles for the Raiders (7-2). Jaliyah Nettles led with 20 points and 13 rebounds, and Cassidy Covington tallied 16 points and 17 rebounds. Asia Washington finished with 13 points and 14 rebounds.

Great Bridge 58, Indian River 54

Kelsey King led the Wildcats with 19 points, and Lindsey Manning added 13. Cierra Selby led all scorers with 25 points for the Braves.

Western Branch 86, Cape Henry Collegiate 42

Jamiah Parham logged 25 points, four assists and four steals for the Bruins. Suki Warden tallied 14 points, five steals and six assists. Martaysia Stevenson finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds, and Daania McGill also recorded a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Andrew Gilmore was a double-event winner for the Comets in the 200 and 100 freestyles. Gilmore was also on the winning 400 free relay with Wilder Lewis, Byron Gordon and Gabe Winston.

Eastern District

Granby 94, Manor 38, Norcom 4

Jessie Woollett and Madeline Reinke were both members of the winning 400 freestyle relay, and they were also double-event winners for the Comets. Woollett placed first in the 200 free and 100 backstroke, while Reinke won the 50 free and 500 free. Jordan Stallings won the 200 individual medley and 100 free for the runner-up Mustangs.
