Cason Fitch made two free throws with six seconds left to secure the overtime win for the Tigers (9-0). Fitch finished with a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds. Corrin Buckingham added seven points, nine rebounds and five assists.

The Bulldogs were led by Melvin Wofford Jr. with 20 points, five assists, four steals and three rebounds. Isiaiah Inman and Tyson Harper each scored 13 points, with Inman also logging seven rebounds. Nasir Jenkins and Desmon Hubbard were double-figure scorers with 14 and 11 points, respectively.

Brody Cooper went coast-to-coast for a layup at the buzzer in the second overtime to seal the victory for the Knights. Cooper finished with 16 points, five rebounds and four steals. Trey Barnhart recorded 24 points and six rebounds, and MJ Fitch contributed 13 points and seven rebounds.

The SunDevils were led by Terrell Lewis and Joziah Mincey with 16 and 13 points, respectively. Haziyah Brown logged eight points and five assists, while Jason Patrick finished with six points and 13 rebounds.

The Cavaliers were led by Antonio Harrell and Madden Gilliatt with 21 points each. Harrell added six assists, while Gilliat provided seven rebounds. TJ Porter tallied nine points and 14 rebounds. The Hawks were represented by Crue Ewell with 11 points.

Markel Smith scored 23 points for the Bruins, and Camryn Clark recorded 18 points. Tashawn Cuffee and Brandon Rodgers were also double-figure scorers with 25 combined points.

Bahaar Grewal logged 11 points, two rebounds and two assists. Rún Sveinbjornsdottir and Maya Land-Dailey each provided nine points and combined for nine steals.

The Bulldogs were led by Kenzie Cooper and Rylie Hite with 18 points each. Cooper also recorded eight rebounds, while Hite provided six assists. Brittany Evans and Kennedi Young logged 16 and 14 respective points, and Jazlyn Hubbard scored 10.

Jha’Ziya Babb earned a triple-double for the Mustangs with 26 points, 10 steals and 12 assists. Ca’Asia Brown and McKenzie Gatling followed with 19 and 16 respective points, while Kaliyah Eason and Katelyn Kenon combined for 23 points. Alanah Jones almost added a double-double with nine points and 10 rebounds.

Mia Spain led nine scoring Knights with 21 points. Kate Spain recorded 11 points and nine assists, and Caroline Pinardi provided seven points and seven rebounds.

Freshman Jada Durham earned a triple-double for the Cavaliers with a career-high 30 points, 10 assists, 12 steals and six rebounds. Shilah Carter and Alainah Overton each scored 11 points. Carter added six rebounds and six steals, while Overton added five rebounds and five steals.
Nansemond River 62, Oscar Smith 13
Jordin Richardson tallied 28 points and eight rebounds for the Warriors, while Aaniyah Custis recorded a triple-double with 12 points, 11 rebounds and 10 steals. Zacariah Knight contributed 10 rebounds.

Jamiah Parham recorded 21 points and five rebounds for the Bruins. Suki Warden earned a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds, and Martaysia Stevenson also recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Western Branch hosts Woodbridge on Saturday at the MLK Showcase Classic.

Thomas Everhart placed first in the 200 individual medley (2:32.87) and the 100 butterfly (1:04.93) for the Patriots.

The Cavaliers won three individual events and a relay to win a competitive meet. The losing Dolphins were represented by freshman Sam Cupito in the 100 freestyle, 100 backstroke, 200 medley relay and 400 free relay, as well as Noah Ardent in the 200 free, 100 breaststroke and 200 medley relay. Senior Dylan Bennington won the diving competition for Ocean Lakes.

Sydney Whiteman was a double-event winner for the Patriots with the 200 freestyle (2:20.89) and the 100 breaststroke (1:25.54).
