• No matter how careful I am on the road, someone is trying to either push me down the road or pass me. No wonder there are so many accidents!
• I have no connection to any utility company. People need to look at both sides of a problem before they start making accusations. In the summer when we are using AC, we are generally trying to cool our homes 10-15 degrees. In the winter, we are asking to warm our homes sometimes 40 degrees or more. Just using a little common sense, I can see it’s going to take a lot more power for heat and possibly make your utility cost a little higher. When the utility company asks you to lower your thermostat 2 degrees during a freeze, they are helping you save money as well as keeping the power on. I am very thankful that OUC was able to keep up this year and thankful that many people understood the problem.
• I’m disappointed that even though all my tender tropical plants were covered, I still lost them. However, all my weeds are as green and fresh as can be!
The flip side
• A shoutout to all the trivia hosts at the local bars, especially Tom at Ten10 and Andrew at Ivanhoe. We always have a good time, even though we rarely win, but learn a little in the process.
• Thank you to Emily at Target across from Fashion Square Mall for walking me over to the area where french-fry cutters are sold. She showed me a couple brands and told me the benefits. She was very helpful and knowledgeable.
