A Ne London man who as convicted of robbery, larceny and firearms charges received a 20-year prison sentence on Thursday.
Victor Hall, 32, was sentenced by Judge Elizabeth C. Leaming to 28 years in prison, suspended after 20 years served, followed by five years of probation, according to a release from the Connecticut Division of Criminal Justice.
On Oct. 17. 2025, Hall was found guilty by a Superior Court jury first-degree robbery, third-degree robbery, second-degree larceny, larceny of a motor vehicle and criminal possession of a firearm, court records show.
Evidence showed that, on March 10, 2023, the New London Police Department received a report about a carjacking and notified nearby authorities about the incident, according to the DCJ.
When officers from the Waterford Police Department observed a car matching the description of the stolen vehicle, they attempted to stop the driver, later identified as Hall, court records show.
Hall then reportedly engaged police in a pursuit and eventually crashed the car, according to court records. He attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended by the police.
Court records also show that police recovered a firearm from the immediate vicinity.
New London State’s Attorney Paul J. Narducci thanked “the New London and Waterford Police Departments, as well as the Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection’s Division of Scientific Services for their work in this case,” the release said.
