Trump Golfs Under Missile Shield As Avenger Guards Bedminster Fairway
President Trump was spotted over the weekend at his Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey, under a notably elevated air-defense posture. An AN/TWQ-1 Avenger positioned near the fairway provided last-line missile defense, indicating that security planners considered a low-altitude airborne attack plausible.
The Avenger’s presence indicates a planned, layered air-defense posture around the president, complemented by F-16 fighter jets overhead and temporary flight restrictions over the course.
The X account POPULAR FRONT posted an image of the Avenger mounted on the back of a Humvee, with President Trump swinging what appears to be an iron.

NORAD said two general aviation aircraft were intercepted and escorted out of the restricted zone while Trump was attending the LIV Golf tournament.

The Avenger provided terminal point defense over the course should a low-flying aircraft, helicopter, larger drone, or potentially a cruise missile penetrate the restricted airspace before fighters could respond.Â
Types of drone threats (view note):Â
The deployment supports the view that President Trump’s security team was taking precautions in response to a constantly evolving threat environment, but it should not be taken as evidence that officials had warning of a particular attack.Â
