Inside Business 2025 Top Forty Under 40: Divante Hamilton, IntellecTechs

Age: 31

Job: Sales director, IntellecTechs

At work: I deliver customized technical solutions that align with each client’s strategic objectives while keeping them secure and compliant. At IntellecTechs, we are a managed security service provider and this involves touching almost every aspect of information technology in a small- to medium-size business. My role encompasses partnering with organizations across diverse industries to identify challenges, implement effective technology and drive sustainable growth. As a senior member of the client services team, I am the primary point of contact for our clients, ensuring a high standard of service and building strong, long-term relationships. I am focused on creating value through innovation, operational excellence and a commitment to exceeding client expectations.

Home and family: I am a Hampton Roads native and returned to the area in 2020 after a few years in the Midwest. I live in Virginia Beach with my golden doodle, Duncan, and cat, Pete. I am surrounded by a larger family unit, including my parents Tracy and Theodore Hamilton, girlfriend Taylor, and countless friends.

Volunteer activities: I am vice regent for The Delta Chi Fraternity supporting Virginia chapters to ensure operational success and alignment with their long-term goals. I also support the Project Connection Foundation as an annual toy drive volunteer, volunteer at JCOC community feedings, as well as V Foundation for Cancer Research events.

Motivating factor: I am motivated by growth, both personal and professional. The pursuit of improvement and trying to be better every day in all aspects of life keeps me energized.

Advice to young people: Be kind to yourself and others. Make sure to listen to understand, not to respond.

Professional goal in five years: To continue to grow and reshape how leadership looks in the next generation through a unique skill set and strategy that powers teams to exceed expectations.

The one thing I’d change about Hampton Roads: The perceived lack of an identity. Often, Hampton Roads is only recognized for its strong military presence, but there is a lot more that makes the region one of the best places to live on the East Coast.

Region’s biggest asset: Diversity!

Downtime: I love to travel and experience new places and things. When I am home you will likely find me at a concert or the gym.

What really gets under my skin: When people are disrespectful or rude to waitstaff or people in general.
