An 11-year-old boy was arrested on Sunday for making threats against Campbell Middle School in Daytona Beach on TikTok, the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said.
In a TikTok comment, the boy allegedly said he was going to shoot up the school and mentioned staff members in the post, VCSO said.
The Orlando Sentinel is not using his name because he is a minor.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation notified VCSO about the social media comment and police officers then went to his home and determined he didn’t have access to any weapons, the agency said.
He was then arrested and transported to the Family Resource Center for processing, VCSO said.
