Lace up your running shoes and get ready to break a sweat: The 15th Annual Connecticut Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Run is a month away, according to organizers.
The 5K run, held at the Wadsworth Mansion in Middletown, will kick off Sunday, Oct. 26 at 10 a.m., according to a statement.
“Since its founding, the CTLEOMR has raised over $100,000 in support of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) and Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.),” according to the statement. “These organizations provide critical resources to law enforcement officers and their families nationwide.”
“The race draws nearly 500 participants each year, including a large number of active law enforcement officers from local, state, and federal agencies,” the Connecticut Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Run went on to say. “Hundreds more spectators and volunteers turn out to support the event, making it one of the region’s most impactful runs of the fall season.”
