17-year-old shot in Easton; police seek 3 masked teens in shooting

Easton police believe three masked teens were involved in a shooting Monday that injured a 17-year-old.

Investigators said the shooting happened about 5:30 p.m. in the area of 11th and Church streets; three teens wearing dark clothing and black masks were seen fleeing toward Northampton Street after the incident, the department said in a news release.

Officers initially were called to the first block of North 11th Street for a report of a shooting, according to the release. They found the teen suffering from a gunshot wound nearby, in the 1100 block of Spring Garden Street.

He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of his injuries, which he is expected to survive.
