A man died from a stabbing incident in Hampton on Saturday night, according to a press release from the Hampton Police Department. This is the second stabbing in 24 hours in Hampton.
The police have arrested the suspect, but have not released the name of either the suspect nor the victim.
At about 6 p.m., Hampton Public Safety Communications received a report of a stabbing in the first block of Westbriar Drive. When officers arrived, a man was suffering from life-threatening injuries. Medical assistance was provided and he was then transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
This is an ongoing investigation, according to the press release. Police found the incident began from an argument between the victim and the suspect, which then escalated into a physical altercation, where the suspect stabbed the victim multiple times.
