Virginia players Chandler Morris (quarterback), Trell Harris (receiver) and McKale Boley (lineman) gained weekly recognition Monday from the Atlantic Coast Conference after the Cavaliers’ 48-20 takedown of Stanford in their ACC opener Saturday night at Scott Stadium. Virginia piled up 590 yards of offense, its fourth straight game with at least 500.
Morris passed for 380 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 19 yards and a score. Harris caught four passes for 145 yards and three (first-quarter) touchdowns. Boley produced the highest pass-blocking grade (91.9) and the second-highest overall grade (91.1) of any offensive lineman in the country in week four, according to Pro Football Focus.

Kickoff times and video coverage for numerous Oct. 4 games were announced.
In the Sun Belt, Old Dominion’s home game against Coastal Carolina will be at 6 p.m. on ESPN+, after James Madison’s clash at Georgia State will be at 3:30 p.m. on ESPN+.
In the Atlantic Coast Conference, Wake Forest’s game at Virginia Tech is set for 1 p.m. with CW coverage, and Virginia at Louisville was tabbed for 3:30 on ESPN2 or the ACC Network. After this weekend’s games, that determination will be made.
Perhaps the ACC’s most prominent contest that day, Miami at Florida State, will be at 7:30 p.m. on ABC (WVEC in Hampton Roads).
Richmond, Hampden-Sydney receiving poll votes
Richmond is receiving votes below the FCS Stats Perform Top 25 and the coaches’ poll, the only team from Virginia mentioned.
Former Old Dominion coach Bobby Wilder’s Tennessee Tech team is 13th in the Stats poll and 11th in the coaches’ survey. North Dakota State, South Dakota State and Tarleton State are ranked 1-2-3 in both polls.
Hampden-Sydney (3-0) moved into the Division III coaches’ poll at No. 25, its first national ranking in 12 years.Christopher Newport and Randolph-Macon received votes below the top 25.

No. 20 CNU sweeps C2C weekly awards
After No. 20 Christopher Newport (6-0-2) extended its winning streak to six matches with victories in Texas over No. 4 Trinity and Harden-Simmons, a pair of Captains swept Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference weekly honors: Drew McWhinney on offense and goalkeeper Hayden Dewey, for the second time this season, on defense.
McWhinney scored twice against Trinity, and Dewey made four saves against both Trinity and Hardin-Simmons, lowering his goals-against average to 0.75. His save percentage is 82.4.
Great Bridge grad takes USA South award
William Peace freshman goalkeeper Griffin Thomas, from Chesapeake, was named the USA South Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week. The Great Bridge High graduate stopped three shots in 90 minutes to help the Pacers shut out Johnson & Wales-Charlotte 2-0.
UVA match canceled
Due to a scheduling conflict on Dayton’s part, Virginia’s scheduled match against the Flyers on Tuesday night was canceled.

Tribe freshman earns CAA rookie award
William & Mary freshman goalkeeper Gwen Doughty was the Coastal Athletic Association Rookie of the Week. The Woodbridge native made nine saves and gave up one goal to help the Tribe start conference play with road ties against Drexel and Towson.
No. 3 CNU gains more C2C awards
CNU (6-0-2), ranked third in Division III, swept the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference weekly awards.
Senior Molly Seventko was named the Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career, and junior keeper Amy Sidaway as the Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this year and seventh time in her career.
Seventko, who leads the Captains with nine points (three goals and three assists), had two assists in two matches. Sidaway yielded one goal and made 10 saves in those matches.
ODU ties Coastal
Old Dominion (5-1-3, 1-0-2 Sun Belt) played to a scoreless draw Sunday night at Coastal Carolina (3-4-2, 0-1-2) despite outshooting the Chanticleers 11-1.

Tribe senior wins flight title at UNCW
William & Mary senior Albert Hansen won the A2 singles flight at UNC Wilmington’s season-opening Porter’s Neck Invitational, beating four opponents in straight sets.
He defeated Hampton’s Tsihon Fedorov 7-6 (7-1), 6-1 in a quarterfinal, then beat a pair of UNCW foes — Brady Hussey 6-4, 6-3 in a semifinal and Alexander Thompson 6-4, 7-6 (10-8) in the final.
