A little girl was struck by a school bus Monday afternoon in Brooklyn and was clinging to life, police said.
The 4-year-old girl was crossing the street when she was hit around 3:56 p.m. near E. Second St. and Avenue J in Midwood.
The child was across the street from her home, walking from the west to the east side of the street, a witness who did not want to give their name recounted.
“The bus came barreling down the street and hit her. I screamed for him to stop, but he couldn’t hear me,” the witness said. “She was still conscious. Her left side was damaged. Her left side was under the wheels.”
