757Teamz field hockey Top 15: Unbeaten Great Bridge faces another challenging week

While the temperatures may be dropping, schedules are starting to heat up across Hampton Roads.

Lucy Carpenter recorded a hat trick to help guide Poquoson past Gloucester 3-1. The Islanders welcome Nansemond River Tuesday at 7 p.m. and then travel to face Hickory Friday at 7 p.m.

Gloucester next hosts Kellam Monday for a 6 p.m. matchup and then visits Tabb Tuesday night at 7. Tabb is ranked No. 7 in the latest MaxPreps national rankings.

Lexi Curtis and Leah Orrock each totaled four goals over two wins for Great Bridge, including a 5-1 decision over Southeastern District-rival Nansemond River. The Wildcats play at Hickory Wednesday at 6:30 p.m., and then face Cox Thursday night at 6:30.

Freshman Abby Cullen notched four goals and four assists in a pair of 6-0 wins for Hickory. Elle Tyler chipped in with three goals and an assist in those performances against Tallwood and Grassfield.

Alli Tyszko and Mia Jones combined for five goals in two Norfolk Academy wins, including a 5-0 clash over Catholic. The Bulldogs host Collegiate of Richmond, MaxPreps second-ranked team nationally, Friday at 3:30 p.m.

Junior captain Robin Roelink blasted in five goals to power Norfolk Collegiate 7-1 over Hampton Roads Academy.
Zoe Goral notched a hat trick in a 4-0 win for Western Branch over Oscar Smith.
Lia Mulkey fired in three goals to lead Cape Henry Collegiate 4-1 past Steward School.
Lily Scott scored three in Kempsville’s 8-0 tilt against Green Run.
Reese Longwater recorded a hat trick to help Ocean Lakes edge Princess Anne 4-3.
Rachel White scored her 10th goal of the season, drilling the overtime winner for Oscar Smith in a 4-3 victory over Indian River.
Lily Gill claimed the winning goal in Granby’s 3-2 overtime win over Warwick.
