Last week’s district showdowns shook the top five — behind Maury and Oscar Smith.
While those two defending state champions stayed put, Green Run, Nansemond River and Warwick joined the top five after key victories.
Poquoson, after a scintillating overtime win against Bay Rivers District rival Lafayette, jumps into the top 10, and Lake Taylor has rejoined the rankings after three consecutive blowout victories. The Titans (4-1) suffered their only loss in a six-point setback against Hampton.
