757Teamz football Top 15: Lake Taylor has rattled off four consecutive Eastern District victories

Green Run, Nansemond River and Poquoson all stayed unbeaten last week with key district victories, but Lake Taylor continued its recent string of victories and has quietly climbed back atop the Eastern District.

The Titans (5-1) have won four consecutive games since a six-point loss to Hampton, scoring 39, 53, 60 and 40 points during that stretch. Lake Taylor, unbeaten in Eastern District play, has back-to-back road games at Manor and Churchland before a visit to top-ranked Maury — also unbeaten in the district — at Powhatan Field on Oct. 24.

Staffers Sonny Dearth, Jami Frankenberry, Marty O’Brien, Larry Rubama and Sam Saunders and correspondent Jim McGrath voted in the poll. Team, record, first-place votes, total votes and last week’s ranking are included.
