757Teamz football Top 15: Maury, Oscar Smith play challenging foes after opening losses

After losses in their season openers, Maury and Oscar Smith play closer to home this week, but another challenging foe awaits each team.

Maury lost 24-20 to Cardinal Gibbons, of Raleigh, North Carolina, ending the Commodores’ 30-game winning streak. This week, Maury travels to Varina, a central Virginia power.

Oscar Smith fell 17-0 at Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C., as the Tigers suffered their first season-opening shutout loss in more than 20 years. Oscar Smith plays Warwick at Todd Stadium.
