An 83-year-old woman is dead and her husband has been arrested in Orange County on Saturday, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said.
At approximately 5:20 p.m., Orange County deputies responded to the 8000 block of Romerly Court in reference to a man down call, OCSO said.
Upon arrival, deputies found Nancy Lee Simmons who had been shot, OCSO said. She was pronounced dead on-scene.
Homicide detectives secured a warrant for Nancy’s husband, William Elwood Simmons, for first degree murder on Sunday, OCSO said. He was taken into custody and transported to the Orange County Jail.
