A nearly 40-year-old, beloved Lehigh Valley ice cream shop just went up for sale

A new owner could continue the legacy of a nearly 4-decade-old ice cream shop now that it has gone up for sale in Nazareth.

Emily’s Ice Cream is priced at $224,900, which includes a three-year lease at 100 S. Main St., real estate agent Jody Karam of Morganelli Properties announced online.

“One of Nazareth’s most beloved and long-standing local businesses, is ready for its next chapter of ownership,” he said. “Located in the heart of historic Main Street, this charming parlor has delighted the community for nearly 40 years with its homemade ice cream, cakes, and other treats served year-round. With the owner retiring, this is a rare opportunity to continue a cherished local tradition.”

Founded in 1987 and operating in a renovated Civil War-era building, according to the Emily’s Ice Cream website, the shop offers 24 in-house ice cream flavors, milkshakes, sundaes, banana boats and custom cakes.
