Two adults beat two students outside of Evanston Township High School at the end of the school day on Aug. 15, according to Evanston Police Commander Ryan Glew.
The two juveniles, ages 14 and 15, had some sort of conflict with another juvenile in the aggressor’s family, according to Glew. The 15-year-old was treated for minor injuries at a hospital. Pending an investigation, no arrests have been made as of yet, Glew told Pioneer Press.
The adults, one male and one female, confronted the 15-year-old on the north side of the school by Church Street, Glew said. The 14-year-old tried to intervene, and was battered herself, but not injured.
“This was an isolated incident, and there was no threat to the school community,” Reine Hanna, the school district’s director of communications, told Pioneer Press.
