HARTFORD – Alex Norstrom of Glastonbury won the Eversource Hartford Marathon for the fourth time and the third time in a row Saturday morning, finishing in 2 hours, 19 minutes, 4 seconds.
Mark Hegarty of Manchester was second (2:22:47) and Matthew Walker of West Hartford (2:23:48) third.
“It was great,” Norstrom said. “I was rolling with whatever felt good. I just got the job done.”

Rachel Schilkowsky of Providence, R.I., who won the women’s race in 2018 and finished second last year, won for the second time, in 2:38:15. Hayley Collins of Tolland was second (2:44:13).
Mario Vazquez of Farmington won the half marathon at age 46 in 1:06:14, beating Grant O’Connor of West Hartford (1:06:32) and Anna Oeser was the women’s half marathon winner (1:12:10). Angie Norstrom, who won the marathon last year and is married to Alex, finished second in the half (1:14:40).
There were about 9,000 runners in the marathon, half marathon and 5K, which started at 8 a.m. and finished in Bushnell Park.
