Thapedi is the son of Chicago neurosurgeon Isaac Martin Thapedi and retired Cook County judge Llwellyn Thapedi. He attended LeMans Academy and St. Ignatius College Prep where he was a student athlete, leader, and selected as a “Chicagoland Outstanding Student”.
