At Taste of Suffolk, competitive eater Joel Hansen and bites from 20 eateries

Will travel for food?

The 19th annual Taste of Suffolk is bringing more than 20 eateries and their budget-friendly portions to the historic downtown on Saturday.

The street festival, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., will stretch along Main Street from Finney Avenue to Washington Street and West Washington Street to Saratoga Avenue. Food vendors include Danny’s Downtown Dogs, The Mod Olive and last year’s Golden Fork Award winner for Best Bite, Kusina Filipino Cuisine.

Make your way to Main and Market streets at 12:30 p.m. to watch YouTuber and food challenger Joel Hansen try to eat the Baronator, a 6-pound burger from Baron’s Pub.

This family-friendly event will also have a car show, live music and plenty of activities for the kids, such as miniature golf, a trackless train and bounce houses.

Don’t forget to vote for your favorite bites, visit the beer garden and shop vendor tables to snag holiday gifts.

The fun carries on into the evening with a 5-8 p.m. after-party at Courthouse Fountain Park.
