Back and forth Sam Hess goes. But the Indiana commit drives Naperville North forward. One more time.

Senior defender Sam Hess scored the go-ahead goal as Naperville North defeated crosstown rival Naperville Central 2-0 in Naperville on Friday to win a Class 3A sectional title.

Hess, an Indiana commit who has switched between midfielder and defender throughout his four-year varsity career, scored with 36 seconds left in the first half.

Senior forward Josh Pedersen, a Bowling Green commit, also scored for the top-seeded Huskies (22-0-4), who beat the second-seeded Redhawks (16-3-1) for the second time this season and will play Collinsville or Normal Community in the Normal Supersectional at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
